Western Shield 1080 Baiting Program

• The Western Shield program by DBCA (Department of Biodiversity, Conservation & Attractions) effectively mitigates the impact of introduced predators like foxes and feral cats on native wildlife through landscape-scale 1080 baiting, resulting in significant population recoveries for various species.
• These baits are poisonous to humans and will kill domestic cats and dogs. It is recommended that you do not take your pets into areas baited with 1080.
